Finnish public libraries use genres when classifying adult fiction. Most used way is to separate few well known genres from the fiction stock. In Kallio branchlibrary we have separated crime (detective novels), horror, science fiction, fantasy, romance, war, humor and hunting (fishing & hunting)novels. Rest of the books are normally on the self, and e. g. translated literature and finnish literature are on the same shelf. Some libraries might use more genres e.g. Kuhmo library. It´s not common to classify the whole fiction stock.
Content description and subject indexing of novels helps in fiction retrieval.

Unfortunately there are no workstations with AutoCAD available in Helmet libraries. The new central library Oodi will provide some 3D modelling software when their makerspace facilities open, but apparently AutoCAD will no be included. However, Aalto Fablab, at Aalto University in Otaniemi, Espoo, provides CAD workstations with AutoDesk Fusion 360 and other software. There is in fact a possibility to play a instrument in library.
The music library has a playing room, that you can reserve for a hour at a time. In the room there's an acoustic and an electric piano. But you are free to bring your own instrument as well.
You can visit the music library at the 2nd floor of the old building at the main library, or call the music library's customer service number 02-262 0658 to make the reservation.
