He told his hosts, to their great surprise, that he wants to see as many _mediocre_ films as possible. There are many films I would like to recommend to foreigners -- if they had subtitles in English, that is -- but if you want to learn about Finnish culture and Finn's attitudes, you do indeed need to see a lot of mediocre material.
